Play-Based Learning and Emotionally Responsive Supports for Young Children and Families

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Emily Andrews and I am an Early Childhood Learning Specialist and Mom to two daughters. We, my daughters, my husband, and I, relocated from Brooklyn Heights to Portland, Maine during Covid. I am passionate about connecting with parents and children to deepen their learning and bolster their confidence. I am growing in the scope of my work and have recently been partnering with schools and businesses to deepen and grow their early childhood development curriculum and content. With almost two decades of experience working in some of New York City’s top schools, I am an excellent resource for families, schools, and start-ups seeking solutions and support. On March 16th 2020 I went from working daily in schools across the city with amazing kids, to working daily in a school called “home school” with my own 2 amazing kids. Now, in Maine, I am working both remotely with New York families and businesses as well as working directly with children, families, and schools here in the Portland area.

“Emily Andrews is an exceptionally competent, compassionate professional. Able to apply her sophisticated understanding of child development and neuropsychological principles to the educational and therapeutic support that she provides to the children with whom she works, she is deeply insightful and effective.” -Dr. Janine Pollack PhD., Neuropsychologhist
